We are a small team with a big, broad skill-set. We are best known for our specialist restructuring and insolvency experience, but collectively, we also have extensive experience in other areas of corporate and commercial law, including litigation, banking and finance, M&A, trusts, capital raising and privacy/data law.

We also collaborate within the professional community - Mike Whale has been made a life member of RITANZ for his services to the industry, and Jennifer is a current Board Member of RITANZ.

We don’t run a leverage model, so you will deal with senior lawyers every step of the way.

We each have distinctive, but complementary, approaches to our work. Mike Anderson has a brilliant head for big picture strategy. Mike Whale loves the law so much that he co-authored a leading textbook. Jennifer has a genuine interest in people-focussed outcomes and enjoys finding efficient ways through commercial obstacles. Kerry hasn’t yet met a problem that he didn’t want to solve.
Efficient
We are a nimble and connected team who are readily able to bring in other legal specialists to fit the requirements of any project. We have a number of senior lawyers and barristers who we can call on to contract with us on a short-term basis, ensuring we are always ready and able to meet your needs. This arrangement means less overheads for us, and greater value for money for our clients.
